Purpose
of Committee: To recruit and retain members and keep accurate
and up-to-date records of these members, including, but not limited
to:
sending out yearly invoices;
maintaining database of member information;
printing membership directory;
following up with non-renewals to encourage continued membership;
recruiting new members;
sending “welcome packets” to all new members;
organizing and administering the mentor/mentee program;
preparing reports for the midyear and annual meetings;
and
providing annual report to MLA Membership Committee.
Composition of Committee: Each member serves a three-year term as does the chair.
The membership is composed of a representative from each state. The Membership
Database Manager is an Ex Officio member of the committee.
